An Umpire must be added to the umpire list before he or she can be assigned to a game. Although the umpire coordinator is generally responsible for this, the league administrator can also add umpires to the list.
When you first use MyLacrosseLeague.com, you will need to add all of your umpires to the list. After that you only need to maintain the list by adding new umpires or removing people who are no longer umpires. If you are a new client and have an existing list of umpires it can be imported into MyLacrosseLeague.com. Please have your League Administrator contact MyLacrosseLeague.com to arrange the import.
To add an umpire click on "Umpire List" from your User Home Page. Scroll down beneath the list and enter the first initial and last name of the umpire. See Adding Users for more information on this. Click on "Add This Umpire". New umpires are automatically sent their user name and password.
Once an umpire has been added to the list, he or she can log in and find games to umpire, view current assignments, and self-assign or request assignments, assuming the league allows one of those modes of operation.
After the umpire is added, you can enter information specific to the umpire. Click on "Edit" next to the umpire's name in the umpire list. You can also add Umpire Strength information (League Comfort Level) about the umpire (See Umpire Strength). If you enter a birth date, an umpire cannot self-assign or request games unless the players are at least 3 years younger (e.g., 14 years old for U-12).
